Supreme Court of Israel

The Supreme Court of Israel (high court of appeals), acting also as "Supreme Court Justice". The Supreme Court is the Highest judicial instances may take the case beyond the competence of all other, lower courts. In exceptional cases, the high court of appeals is reviewing the cases in which the highest appellate court has rendered a final decision.
The Supreme Court building was built in 90-ies of the last century in front of the building of the Israeli Parliament. Money for construction was donated by the family millieu in the country. The decisions of the Supreme Court are binding for all other judicial bodies in the country and for state agencies and the legislature.
In General, questions of law and legislative power is a prerogative of the Parliament of Israel. But the high court of appeals can always affect change in some solutions, and may also declare not any valid legislative instrument.
The Supreme Court hears appeals against the verdicts of judges in criminal, administrative and civil cases. Can also influence the decisions of various commissions and tribunals that are not part of the Israeli judicial system and courts of the Israeli Bar Association.
As the Supreme Court of Justice is the Highest court, of First instance, which checks and, if necessary, challenging the legality of certain decisions of all levels, from government institutions to local governments.

In addition to the above the high court of appeals may take the case beyond the competence of all other, lower courts. In exceptional cases, the high court of appeals is reviewing a matter on which instanciate of final appeal issued a final decision.
